Devlog #9

Hiii guys!

We are nearing the end of the game! I hope you're excited :)

We have been working on the design of the level, I will show you what I have done for that already:

There will still be parts made above the existing level, we are still working on that.

The focus now is to make it more readable, understandable where to go and who is controlling what limb, and logical etc...

For the art side (apart from the level design): We have still been less focused about the actual art part of the game, since the most important part is to actually have a fully made and fun playable level, plus next week our game has to be done basically. If there is time for it, we might focus on it more next week.

The spikes have been updated and made smaller, so you can't see them anymore when they're behind a wall to scare you hehe...  The chains have also been updated. Also, now it's more obvious where to go, because of the signs:

Zora has also been working on the sewer waterfall, but there's still a little problem with it which will be fixed soon. The starting and end screen have also been updated.

As for the programming side: Bern and Warre will also work on the design of the level on top of what's already made. There will still be more work on the movement of Franky and the wheels. some particles as 'blood' have also been made and it's now more clear whether you are holding something or not. Additionally we can now save high scores into the game. Setting the name will be for next week but for now your best times will be saved and will appear in the end screen when you finish the level.

For the sound side: Franky finally has a voice! He reacts when he hits obstacles, loses his limbs, finishes the game, wakes up, ... It still needs some finetuning. But at least he is alive. Other updates are: the main level has an inside ambience. In the last week music will be found for the game and UI sounds will be implemented.
