Devlog #7


Hello people :)

So this week, we have all been fully working on PatchworkParkour again! Spring break is unfortunately over :')

For the art side: I updated the character to its final art, I'm still working on it but the base of it is ready and imported in the game!


We have also started working on the background tileable textures, specifically the dungeon and lab walls. I also tried adding PNGs that would "break" the bricks of the wall, to make it seem less tileable, but to no avail...It looked very ugly so I will have to work on that more. Maybe it's just the way I'm handling it that is not correct.

Here are the 2 walls we've been working on already!:



We also will work on modular pieces that we will be able to scatter around. Zora is already making some for the lab:

For the tech side: Bern has made the limb movement smoother, and fixed some bugs we had, like the limb glitching. 

Bern also had the good idea that we should all make some small "parkour" pieces, to then when we meet up again, put together in a fun and logical way. So we have also been working on that.

For the sound side: 

Almost all obstacles have sound right now. In the latest video you can also hear music, this is just a placeholder until we find the right one. But it is easier to make a nice mix if the music is present.
